Psalm 123:2
14 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

I always look to you, because you rescue me from every trap.

Jesus told his disciples a story about how they should keep on praying and never give up:

They kept on wrestling until the man said, “Let go of me! It's almost daylight.” “You can't go until you bless me,” Jacob replied.

I am worn out from waiting for you to keep your word. When will you have mercy?

the Gibeonites sent a message to the Israelite camp at Gilgal: “Joshua, please come and rescue us! The Amorite kings from the hill country have joined together and are attacking us. We are your servants, so don't let us down. Please hurry!”

but he did tell the Gibeonites that they would have to be servants of the nation of Israel. They would have to cut firewood and bring it for the priests to use for burning sacrifices on the Lord's altar, wherever the Lord decided the altar would be. The Gibeonites would also have to carry water for the priests. And that is still the work of the Gibeonites.

So now you are under a curse, and from now on your people will have to send workers to cut wood and carry water for the place of worship.”

Your Majesty, everyone in Israel is waiting for you to announce who will be the next king.

Aren't you going to punish them? We won't stand a chance when this army attacks. We don't know what to do—we are begging for your help.
