1 The Lord said to Aaron: You, your sons, and the other Levites of the Kohath clan, are responsible for what happens at the sacred tent. And you and your sons will be responsible for what the priests do.

Christ carried the burden of our sins. He was nailed to the cross, so we would stop sinning and start living right. By his cuts and bruises you are healed.


Obey your leaders and do what they say. They are watching over you, and they must answer to God. So don't make them sad as they do their work. Make them happy. Otherwise, they won't be able to help you at all.


Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin!


By suffering, the servant will learn the true meaning of obeying the Lord. Although he is innocent, he will take the punishment for the sins of others, so that many of them will no longer be guilty.


All of us were like sheep that had wandered off. We had each gone our own way, but the Lord gave him the punishment we deserved.

Moses took them and placed them in the Lord's sacred tent.


I will punish you severely every day for the next 40 years—one year for each day that the land was explored.
