Elkanah lived in Ramah, a town in the hill country of Ephraim. His great-great-grandfather was Zuph, so Elkanah was a member of the Zuph clan of the Ephraim tribe. Elkanah's father was Jeroham, his grandfather was Elihu, and his great-grandfather was Tohu.


Then he would go back to his home in Ramah and do the same thing there. He also had an altar built for the Lord at Ramah.


He wasn't dishonest or violent, but he was buried in a tomb among cruel, rich people.


went and asked for Jesus' body. Pilate gave orders for it to be given to Joseph,


When John's followers learned that he had been killed, they took his body and put it in a tomb.
