When you hear about wars and riots, don't be afraid. These things will have to happen first, but this isn't the end.


Jesus said to his disciples, “Don't be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.


not to be easily upset or disturbed by people who claim the Lord has already come. They may say they heard this directly from the Holy Spirit, or from someone else, or even that they read it in one of our letters.


I give you peace, the kind of peace only I can give. It isn't like the peace this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.


Bad news won't bother them; they have decided to trust the Lord.


When the good news about the kingdom has been preached all over the world and told to all nations, the end will come.


I trust you to save me, Lord God, and I won't be afraid. My power and my strength come from you, and you have saved me.”


Do this because the Scriptures say, ‘He was considered a criminal.’ This was written about me, and it will soon come true.”


But then, how could the words of the Scriptures come true, which say this must happen?”


The Lord God said: Ezekiel, son of man, the Ammonites have insulted Israel, so condemn them and tell them I am saying: A sword is drawn, ready to slaughter; it is polished and prepared to kill as fast as lightning.


You ask how long will I continue to attack you with my sword, then you tell me to put it away and leave you alone.


Tell Ahaz to stop worrying. There's no need for him to be afraid of King Rezin and King Pekah. They are very angry, but they are nothing more than a dying fire. Ahaz doesn't need to fear


When King Herod heard about this, he was worried, and so was everyone else in Jerusalem.


Then another horse came out. It was fiery red. And its rider was given the power to take away all peace from the earth, so people would slaughter one another. He was also given a big sword.
