Matthew 1:22
22 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Jesus said to them, “While I was still with you, I told you that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Books of the Prophets, and in the Psalms had to happen.”

and they went to live there in the town of Nazareth. So the Lord's promise came true, just as the prophet had said, “He will be called a Nazarene.”

and said: Praise the Lord God of Israel! Long ago he brought his people out of Egypt. He did not choose a city from any tribe in Israel where his temple would be built, but he kept his promise to make my father David the king of Israel.

But God had his prophets tell that his Messiah would suffer, and now he has kept this promise.

My father David was your servant, and today you have kept every promise you made to him.

Then everything will happen, just as I said, ‘I did not lose anyone you gave me.’ ”

So God's promise came true, just as the prophet had said, “I will use stories to speak my message and to explain things hidden since the creation of the world.”

Years ago the Lord sent Jeremiah with a message about a promise for the people of Israel. Then in the first year that Cyrus was king of Persia, the Lord kept his promise by telling Cyrus to send this official message to all parts of his kingdom:

While I was with them, I kept them safe by the power you have given me. I guarded them, and not one of them was lost, except the one who had to be lost. This happened so that what the Scriptures say would come true.

This is why the Scriptures are true when they say, “People hated me for no reason.”

You can't argue with the Scriptures, and God spoke to those people and called them gods.

But they don't have deep roots, and they don't last very long. As soon as life gets hard or the message gets them in trouble, they give up.

So God's promise came true, just as Isaiah the prophet had said,

where they stayed until Herod died. So the Lord's promise came true, just as the prophet had said, “I called my son out of Egypt.”

So God's promise came true, just as the prophet Isaiah had said, “He healed our diseases and made us well.”

Don't suppose I came to do away with the Law and the Prophets. I did not come to do away with them, but to give them their full meaning.

This time of punishment is what is written about in the Scriptures.

God is the one who made these kings all think alike and decide to give their power to the beast. And they will do this until what God has said comes true.

that he promised long ago by what his prophets said in the holy Scriptures.
