The people picked up stones to kill Jesus, but he hid and left the temple.


Jesus himself suffered outside the city gate, so his blood would make people holy.


Instead, you want to kill me for telling you the truth that God gave me. Abraham never did anything like that.


I know that you are from Abraham's family. Yet you want to kill me, because my message isn't really in your hearts.


The wicked kill with swords and shoot arrows to murder the poor and the needy and all who do right.


Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the people to take that man outside the camp and stone him to death!”


He captured 10,000 more soldiers and dragged them to the top of a high cliff. Then he pushed them over the side, and they all were killed on the rocks below.


When the people in the synagogue heard Jesus say this, they became so angry
