1 Jesus said to his disciples: A rich man once had a manager to take care of his business. But he was told that his manager was wasting money.

Each of you has been blessed with one of God's many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.


The Lord answered: Who are faithful and wise servants? Who are the ones the master will put in charge of giving the other servants their food supplies at the proper time?


Yet even when you do pray, your prayers are not answered, because you pray just for selfish reasons.


Church officials are in charge of God's work, and so they must also have a good reputation. They must not be bossy, quick-tempered, heavy drinkers, bullies, or dishonest in business.


This other son of yours wasted your money on prostitutes. And now that he has come home, you ordered the best calf to be killed for a feast.”


Not long after that, the younger son packed up everything he owned and left for a foreign country, where he wasted all his money in wild living.


Another servant came and said, “Sir, here is your money. I kept it safe in a handkerchief.


Being lazy is no different from being a troublemaker.


There was once a rich man who wore expensive clothes and every day ate the best food.
