When people ask you for something, give it to them. When they want to borrow money, lend it to them.


Share your food with everyone who is hungry; share your home with the poor and homeless. Give clothes to those in need; don't turn away your relatives.


We know what love is because Jesus gave his life for us. This is why we must give our lives for each other.


Take care of God's needy people and welcome strangers into your home.


After he had led them out of the jail, he asked, “What must I do to be saved?”


“That's fine, my good servant!” the king said. “Since you have shown that you can be trusted with a small amount, you will be given ten cities to rule.”


When Jesus heard this, he said, “There is one thing you still need to do. Go and sell everything you own! Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come and be my follower.”


My disciples, I tell you to use wicked wealth to make friends for yourselves. Then when it is gone, you will be welcomed into an eternal home.


Warn the rich people of this world not to be proud or to trust in wealth that is easily lost. Tell them to have faith in God, who is rich and blesses us with everything we need to enjoy life.


When the people heard this, they were very upset. They asked Peter and the other apostles, “Friends, what should we do?”


The manager said to himself, “What shall I do now that my master is going to fire me? I can't dig ditches, and I'm ashamed to beg.


Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves moneybags that never wear out. Make sure your treasure is safe in heaven, where thieves cannot steal it and moths cannot destroy it.


Don't keep worrying about having something to eat or drink.


Jesus said to his disciples: I tell you not to worry about your life! Don't worry about having something to eat or wear.


If you would only give what you have to the poor, everything you do would please God.


An expert in the Law of Moses stood up and asked Jesus a question to see what he would say. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to have eternal life?”


John told them, “If you have two coats, give one to someone who doesn't have any. If you have food, share it with someone else.”


Share what you have with seven or eight others, because you never know when disaster may strike.


The disciples talked this over and said to each other, “He must be saying this because we didn't bring along any bread.”


So Jesus told them this story: A rich man's farm produced a big crop,


Later, he said, “Now I know what I'll do. I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones, where I can store all my grain and other goods.
