Don't fall in love with money. Be satisfied with what you have. The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us.


It's better to obey the Lord and have only a little, than to be very rich and terribly anxious.


It's much better to be wise and sensible than to be rich.


People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless,


The Pharisees really loved money. So when they heard what Jesus said, they made fun of him.


Don't be controlled by your body. Kill every desire for the wrong kind of sex. Don't be immoral or indecent or have evil thoughts. Don't be greedy, which is the same as worshiping idols.


The seeds that fell among the thornbushes are also people who hear the message. But they are so eager for riches and pleasures that they never produce anything.


Don't trust in violence or depend on dishonesty or rely on great wealth.


It is better to live right and be poor than to be sinful and rich.


They will be greedy and cheat you with smooth talk. But long ago God decided to punish them, and God doesn't sleep.


unfaithfulness in marriage, greed, meanness, deceit, indecency, envy, insults, pride, and foolishness.

A heartless leader is a fool, but anyone who refuses to get rich by cheating others will live a long time.


All they think about is having sex with someone else's husband or wife. There is no end to their wicked deeds. They trick people who are easily fooled, and their minds are filled with greedy thoughts. But they are headed for trouble!


So they all come and listen to you, but they refuse to do what you tell them. They claim to be faithful, but they are forever trying to cheat others out of their money.


So Jesus told them this story: A rich man's farm produced a big crop,


he saddled his donkey and went after them. He found them and brought them back to Jerusalem.
