Jesus took the twelve apostles aside and said: We are now on our way to Jerusalem. Everything that the prophets wrote about the Son of Man will happen there.


When Jesus had finished saying all this, he went on toward Jerusalem.


I will strengthen the power of Babylonia's king and give him my sword to use against Egypt. I will also make the wounded king of Egypt powerless, and he will moan in pain and die in front of the Babylonian king. Then everyone on earth will know that I am the Lord.


Soon I will send a war to punish Babylon's idols and leave its wounded people moaning everywhere.


A child begs its mother for food and drink, then blacks out like a wounded soldier lying in the street. The child slowly dies in its mother's arms.


A priest happened to be going down the same road. But when he saw the man, he walked by on the other side.
