But Jesus did not answer. So the high priest said, “With the living God looking on, you must tell the truth. Are you the Messiah, the Son of God?”

Esau's descendants may say, “Although our nation Edom is in ruins, we will rebuild it.” But I, the Lord All-Powerful, promise to tear down whatever they build. Then everyone will know that I will never stop being angry with them as long as they are so sinful.

“Micaiah, I've told you over and over to tell me the truth!” Ahab shouted. “What does the Lord really say?”

Elijah then said, “Elisha, now the Lord wants me to go to Jericho, but you must stay here.” Elisha replied, “I swear by the living Lord and by your own life, that I will stay with you no matter what!” And he went with Elijah to Jericho.
