Israel, you will know that I stand at your side. I am the Lord your God— there are no other gods. Never again will you be put to shame.

Look toward the mountains, people of Judah! Here comes a messenger with good news of peace. Celebrate your festivals. Keep your promises to God. Your evil enemies are destroyed and will never again invade your country.

Jerusalem, wake up! Stand up and be strong. Holy city of Zion, dress in your best clothes. Those foreigners who ruined your sacred city won't bother you again.

But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will be in the city.

Everyone who is left alive in Jerusalem will be called special,

The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, said: I promise to set the people of Judah free and to lead them back to their hometowns. And when I do, they will once again say, “We pray that the Lord will bless his home, the sacred hill in Jerusalem where his temple stands.”

I, the Lord, live on Mount Zion. I will punish the guilty and defend the innocent.

I will return to Jerusalem and live there on Mount Zion. Then Jerusalem will be known as my faithful city, and Zion will be known as my holy mountain.

Then the lame and the outcasts will belong to my people and become a strong nation. I, the Lord, will rule them from Mount Zion forever.

After this, he will set up camp between the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Zion. Then he will be destroyed, and no one will be able to save him.

and so the total length of the wall will be ten kilometers. The new name of the city will be “The-Lord-Is-Here!”

The temple area on my holy mountain must be kept sacred! This is the most important law about the temple.

A good road will be there, and it will be named “God's Sacred Highway.” It will be for God's people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road. And no fools can travel on that highway.

Sing, people of Zion! Celebrate the greatness of the holy Lord of Israel. God is here to help you.

Your home is on Mount Zion, the city of peace.

You rule from Zion, Lord, and we sing about you to let the nations know everything you have done.

“I have heard my people complain. Now tell them that each evening they will have meat and each morning they will have more than enough bread. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”

Nothing harmful will take place on the Lord's holy mountain. Just as water fills the sea, the land will be filled with people who know and honor the Lord.

I will soon come to save you. I am not far away and will waste no time; I take pride in Israel and will save Jerusalem.

I will bring them to my holy mountain, where they will celebrate in my house of worship. Their sacrifices and offerings will always be welcome on my altar. Then my house will be known as a house of worship for all nations.

Even that disgusting Hinnom Valley will be sacred to me, and so will the eastern slopes that go down from Horse Gate into Kidron Valley. Jerusalem will never again be destroyed.

When that day comes, everyone in Israel will worship me on Mount Zion, my holy mountain in Jerusalem. I will once again call you my own, and I will accept your sacred offerings and sacrifices.

I will wrap you with muscles and skin and breathe life into you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

And so I, the Lord God, say that no godless foreigner who disobeys me will be allowed in my temple. This includes any foreigner living in Israel.

In the past, you treated us with such kindness, that we now beg you to stop being so terribly angry with Jerusalem. After all, it is your chosen city built on your holy mountain, even though it has suffered public disgrace because of our sins and those of our ancestors.

Those who gained such insights also gained the land, and they were not influenced by foreign teachings.
