If you think you are being religious, but can't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is useless.


Keep what you know to yourself, and you will be safe; talk too much, and you are done for.


“Do you really love life? Do you want to be happy? Then stop saying cruel things and quit telling lies.


On that day they will be told they are either innocent or guilty because of the things they have said.


Then don't say cruel things and don't tell lies.


Can any of us really say, “My thoughts are pure, and my sins are gone”?


The Scriptures tell us, “No one is acceptable to God!


But you must learn to endure everything, so you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything.


Everyone sins. But when your people sin against you, suppose you get angry enough to let their enemies drag them away to foreign countries.


If you obey every law except one, you are still guilty of breaking them all.


We are unfit to worship you; each of our good deeds is merely a filthy rag. We dry up like leaves; our sins are storm winds sweeping us away.


I keep my body under control and make it my slave, so I won't lose out after telling the good news to others.


I pray God will make you ready to obey him and that you will always be eager to do right. May Jesus help you do what pleases God. To Jesus Christ be glory forever and ever! Amen.

You will say the wrong thing if you talk too much— so be sensible and watch what you say.


Watching what you say can save you a lot of trouble.


You are a bunch of evil snakes, so how can you say anything good? Your words show what is in your hearts.


but the priest discovers that it is only a rash, he will say, “You are clean.”


that's why you attack God with everything you say.
