God stopped up the places where the water had been gushing out from under the earth. He also closed up the sky, and the rain stopped.


I am the Lord All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing.


The waters in the heavens roar at his command. He makes clouds appear; he sends the wind from his storehouse and makes lightning flash in the rain.


that you should worship me with fear and trembling? I'm the one who made the shore to hold back the ocean. Waves may crash on the beach, but they can come no farther.


But the officer refused to believe that even the Lord could do that. So Elisha warned him that he would see it happen, but would not eat any of the food.

People were eating, drinking, and getting married right up to the day the flood came and Noah went into the big boat.


You opened the ground for streams and springs and dried up mighty rivers.


I'm going to send a flood that will destroy everything that breathes! Nothing will be left alive.


They dig tunnels in distant, unknown places, where they dangle by ropes.


People will think they are safe and secure. But destruction will suddenly strike them like the pains of a woman about to give birth. And they won't escape.


Later it was destroyed by the waters of a mighty flood.


God can hold back the rain or send a flood,


Job, have you ever walked on the ocean floor?


By his understanding he let the ocean break loose and clouds release the rain.


If you are terrified and run, you will fall into a pit; if you crawl out of the pit, you will get caught in a trap. The sky has split apart like a window thrown open. The foundations of the earth have been shaken;


By the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the earth was completely dry.
