Abram went as far as the sacred tree of Moreh in a place called Shechem. The Canaanites were still living in the land at that time,


Because Abraham had faith, he lived as a stranger in the promised land. He lived there in a tent, and so did Isaac and Jacob, who were later given the same promise.


Before Moses sent them into Canaan, he said: After you go through the Southern Desert of Canaan, continue north into the hill country
