16 In the past, you treated us with such kindness, that we now beg you to stop being so terribly angry with Jerusalem. After all, it is your chosen city built on your holy mountain, even though it has suffered public disgrace because of our sins and those of our ancestors.

Daniel 9:16
33 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

I will return to Jerusalem and live there on Mount Zion. Then Jerusalem will be known as my faithful city, and Zion will be known as my holy mountain.

I am the Lord your God. And you will know I live on Zion, my sacred hill, because Jerusalem will be sacred, untouched by foreign troops.

I was still confessing my sins and those of all Israel to the Lord my God, and I was praying for the good of his holy mountain,

I come to you, Lord, for protection. Don't let me be ashamed. Do as you have promised and rescue me.

Every nation around us sneers and makes fun.

You do what is right, so come to my rescue. Listen to my prayer and keep me safe.

Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the Lord your God, and I demand all your love. If you reject me, I will punish your families for three or four generations.

But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.

It is only right for God to punish everyone who is causing you trouble,

Every passerby will laugh at your destruction. Foreign nations

I will punish them with a terrible disaster, and everyone on earth will tremble when they hear about it. I will force the people of Judah to go to foreign countries, where they will be cursed and insulted.

Listen, Lord, as I pray! You are faithful and honest and will answer my prayer.

You, the Lord God of Israel, will be praised forever! Amen and amen.

Because he was faithful, you made an agreement to give his descendants the land of the Canaanites and Hittites, of the Amorites and Perizzites, and of the Jebusites and Girgashites. Now you have kept your promise, just as you always do.

Our Lord, you are the one who makes us rich or poor. You put some in high positions and bring disgrace on others.

Our Lord and our God, you save us! Please bring us back home and don't be angry.

You are the Lord's people, but you made him terribly angry, and he struck you with his mighty arm. Mountains shook, and dead bodies covered the streets like garbage. The Lord is still angry, and he is ready to strike you again.

After this, he will set up camp between the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Zion. Then he will be destroyed, and no one will be able to save him.

I am your chosen one, but your enemies chase and make fun of me.

Those crimes have made you guilty, and the idols have made you unacceptable to me. So your final punishment is near. Other nations will laugh at you and make insulting remarks,
