He gave all the men and women in the crowd a small loaf of bread, some meat, and a handful of raisins, then everyone went home.


and said: Praise the Lord God of Israel! Long ago he brought his people out of Egypt. He did not choose a city from any tribe in Israel where his temple would be built, but he kept his promise to make my father David the king of Israel.


When Hezekiah and his officials saw these offerings, they thanked the Lord and the people.


And don't let anyone who passes by say to them, “The Lord bless you! I give you my blessing in the name of the Lord.”
