1 David sang a song to the Lord after the Lord had rescued him from his enemies, especially Saul. These are the words to David's song:

After the battle was over that day, Deborah and Barak sang this song:


Moses and the Israelites sang this song in praise of the Lord: I sing praises to the Lord for his great victory! He has thrown the horses and their riders into the sea.


The Lord will always keep me from being harmed by evil, and he will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. Praise him forever and ever! Amen.


The Lord's people may suffer a lot, but he will always bring them safely through.


I am God Most High! The only sacrifice I want is for you to be thankful and to keep your word.


You protected me from violent enemies, and you made me much greater than all of them.


but he thought to himself, “One of these days, Saul is going to kill me. The only way to escape from him is to go to Philistia. Then I'll be outside of Israel, and Saul will give up trying to catch me.”


I spared your life today, and I pray that the Lord will spare my life and keep me safe.”


The Lord your God will keep you safe when your enemies try to kill you. But he will snatch away their lives quicker than you can throw a rock from a sling.


I pray that the Lord will help me escape and show that I am in the right.


David stayed in hideouts in the hill country of Ziph Desert. Saul kept searching, but God never let Saul catch him.


God saved us from the threat of death, and we are sure that he will do it again and again.


Moses called a meeting of all the people of Israel, so he could teach them the words to the song that the Lord had given him. And here are the words:
