2 Samuel 20:12
7 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

You showed what you are like, and you made certain that justice is done, but evil people are trapped by their own evil deeds.

But what about those people who are cruel and brutal? You will throw them down into the deepest pit long before their time. I trust you, Lord!

Absalom put Amasa in Joab's place as commander of the army. Amasa's father was Ithra from the family of Ishmael, and his mother was Abigal, the daughter of Nahash and the sister of Joab's mother Zeruiah.

But Asahel would not turn back, so Abner struck him in the stomach with the back end of his spear. The spear went all the way through and came out of his back. Asahel fell down and died. Everyone who saw Asahel lying dead just stopped and stood still.

One of Joab's soldiers stood by Amasa and shouted, “If any of you are for Joab and David, then follow Joab!”

After this, no one else stopped. They all walked straight past him on their way to help Joab capture Sheba.
