2 Samuel 2:26
17 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

The next day Moses saw two of his own people fighting, and he tried to make them stop. He said, “Men, you are both Israelites. Why are you so cruel to each other?”

But the Lord All-Powerful will win this battle and take revenge on his enemies. His sword will eat them and drink their blood until it is full. They will be killed in the north near the Euphrates River, as a sacrifice to the Lord.

War will visit their cities, and their plans will fail.

A destroying army marches along desert roads and attacks everywhere. They are my deadly sword; no one is safe from them.

How long will I see enemy flags and hear their trumpets?

I tried punishing you, but you refused to come back to me, and like fierce lions you killed my prophets.

But if you turn against me, your enemies will kill you. I, the Lord, have spoken.

The start of an argument is like a water leak— so stop it before real trouble breaks out.

How long will you people refuse to respect me? You love foolish things, and you run after what is worthless.

How long will you torture me with your words?

How long will you talk? Be sensible! Let us speak.

David replied, “Tell Joab to cheer up and not to be upset about what happened. You never know who will be killed in a war. Tell him to strengthen his attack against the city and break through its walls.”

They grabbed each other by the hair and stabbed each other in the side with their daggers. They all died right there! That's why the place in Gibeon is called “Field of Daggers.”

Abner yelled to Joab, “Let's get some of our best soldiers to stand up and fight each other!” Joab agreed,

Abner brought the men of Benjamin together in one group on top of a hill, and they got ready to fight.

Joab shouted back, “I swear by the living God, if you hadn't spoken, my men would have chased their relatives all night!”
