Absalom was riding his mule under a huge tree when his head caught in the branches. The mule ran off and left Absalom hanging in midair. Some of David's soldiers happened by,


Joab said, “You saw Absalom? Why didn't you kill him? I would have given you ten pieces of silver and a special belt.”


Give us seven of his descendants. We will hang these men near the place where the Lord is worshiped in Gibeah, the hometown of Saul, the Lord's chosen king.” “I'll give them to you,” David said.


In fact, God sends disaster on all who sin,


But Christ rescued us from the Law's curse, when he became a curse in our place. This is because the Scriptures say that anyone who is nailed to a tree is under a curse.
