13 David invited him for dinner. Uriah ate with David, who gave him so much to drink that he got drunk. But Uriah still did not go home. He went out and slept on his mat near the palace guards.

It isn't smart to get drunk! Drinking makes a fool of you and leads to fights.


Moses asked Aaron, “What did these people do to harm you? Why did you make them sin in this terrible way?”


But Uriah didn't go home. Instead, he slept outside the entrance to the royal palace, where the king's guards slept.


Absalom said, “If you won't go, at least let my brother Amnon come with us.” David asked, “Why should he go with you?”


Who is always in trouble? Who argues and fights? Who has cuts and bruises? Whose eyes are red?
