5 When he arrived, the army officers were meeting together. “Sir, I have a message for you,” he said. “For which one of us?” Jehu asked. “You, sir,” the prophet answered.
5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.
5 And when he came, the captains of the army were sitting outside; and he said, I have a message for you, O captain. Jehu said, To which of us? And he said, To you, O captain.
5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of us all? And he said, To thee, O captain.
5 He came in, and the military commanders were sitting right there. He said, “Commander, I have a word for you.” “For which one of us?” Jehu asked. The young prophet said, “For you, Commander.”
5 And he entered that place, and behold, the leaders of the army were sitting there, and he said, "I have a word for you, O prince." And Jehu said, "For which one among us all?" And he said, "For you, O prince."
Ehud went with the other Israelites as far as the statues at Gilgal. Then he turned back and went upstairs to the room where Eglon had his throne. Ehud said, “Your Majesty, I need to talk with you in private.” Eglon replied, “Don't say anything yet!” His officials left the room, and Eglon stood up as Ehud came closer. “Yes,” Ehud said, “I have a message for you from God!”
So Jehu got up and went inside. The prophet poured olive oil on Jehu's head and told him: The Lord God of Israel has this message for you: “I am the Lord, and I have chosen you to be king of my people Israel.
