Elijah left and found Elisha plowing a field with a pair of oxen. There were eleven other men in front of him, and each one was also plowing with a pair of oxen. Elijah went over and put his own coat on Elisha.


He struck the water with the coat and wondered, “Will the Lord perform miracles for me as he did for Elijah?” As soon as Elisha did this, a dry path opened up through the water, and he walked across.


Because of their faith, the people walked through the Red Sea on dry land. But when the Egyptians tried to do it, they were drowned.


The Lord will dry up the arm of the Red Sea near Egypt, and he will send a scorching wind to divide the Euphrates River into seven streams that anyone can step across.


and when Elijah heard it, he covered his face with his coat. He went out and stood at the entrance to the cave. A voice asked, “Elijah, why are you here?”


The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it completely dried up to make a road for the kings from the east.


Still others were stoned to death or sawed in two or killed with swords. Some had nothing but sheep skins or goat skins to wear. They were poor, mistreated, and tortured.


But the sea had made a wall of water on each side of the Israelites, so they walked through on dry land.


“What does it look like?” “It looks like an old man wearing a robe.” Saul knew it was Samuel, so he bowed down low.
