14 He struck the water with the coat and wondered, “Will the Lord perform miracles for me as he did for Elijah?” As soon as Elisha did this, a dry path opened up through the water, and he walked across.

I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father.


Even my bones are in pain, while all day long my enemies sneer and ask, “Where is your God?”


Why should the nations ask, “Where is your God?”


Jesus was taken up to sit at the right side of God, and he was given the Holy Spirit, just as the Father had promised. Jesus is also the one who has given the Spirit to us, and this is what you are now seeing and hearing.


Then the disciples left and preached everywhere. The Lord was with them, and the miracles they worked proved that their message was true.


Tell my servants, the priests, to cry inside the temple and to offer this prayer near the altar: “Save your people, Lord God! Don't let foreign nations make jokes about us. Don't let them laugh and ask, ‘Where is your God?’ ”


In my heart, I am thirsty for you, the living God. When will I see your face?


Gideon answered, “Please don't take this wrong, but if the Lord is helping us, then why have all of these awful things happened? We've heard how the Lord performed miracles and rescued our ancestors from Egypt. But those things happened long ago. Now the Lord has abandoned us to the Midianites.”


Elijah's coat had fallen off, so Elisha picked it up and walked back to the Jordan River.


“Gehazi, get ready and go to her house,” Elisha said. “Take along my walking stick, and when you get there, lay it on the boy's face. Don't stop to talk to anyone, even if they try to talk to you.”


and the Israelites walked through on dry land with a wall of water on each side.


Your ancestors refused to ask for my help, though I had rescued them from Egypt and led them through a treacherous, barren desert, where no one lives or dares to travel.
