Saul could tell it was David's voice, and he called out, “David, my son! Is that you?” “Yes it is, Your Majesty.


But they were no match for Stephen, who spoke with the great wisdom that the Spirit gave him.


I will give you the wisdom to know what to say. None of your enemies will be able to oppose you or to say that you are wrong.


A kind answer soothes angry feelings, but harsh words stir them up.


The truth is always painful, but your arguments prove nothing.


But Esau ran toward Jacob and hugged and kissed him. Then the two brothers started crying.


The right word at the right time is like precious gold set in silver.


By the seventh day God had finished his work, and so he rested.

Amasai, who later became the leader of the Thirty Warriors, was one of these men who went to David. God's Spirit took control of him, and he said, “We will join you, David son of Jesse! You and your followers will always be successful, because God fights on your side.” So David agreed to let them stay, and he even put them in charge of his soldiers who raided enemy villages.


Be my defender and protector! Remember your promise and save my life.
