1 Samuel 20:14
8 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

David asked, “Are any of Saul's family still alive? If there are, I want to be kind to them.” Ziba answered, “One of Jonathan's sons is still alive, but he can't walk.”

But when these good things happen, please don't forget to tell the king about me, so I can get out of this place.

But if he wants to harm you, I promise to tell you and help you escape. And I ask the Lord to punish me severely if I don't keep my promise. I pray that the Lord will bless you, just as he used to bless my father.

But he will always watch us to make sure that we keep the promise we made to each other.

Promise me with the Lord as your witness, that you won't wipe out my descendants. Let them live to keep my family name alive.

One day, David thought, “I wonder if any of Saul's family are still alive. If they are, I will be kind to them, because I made a promise to Jonathan.”
