1 Samuel 14:18
13 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Uriah answered, “The sacred chest and the armies of Israel and Judah are camping out somewhere in the fields with our commander Joab and his officers and troops. Do you really think I would go home to eat and drink and sleep with my wife? I swear by your life that I would not!”

The people of Kiriath-Jearim got the chest and took it to Abinadab's house, which was on a hill in their town. They chose his son Eleazar to take care of it,

They brought it into the temple of their god Dagon and put it next to the statue of Dagon, which they worshiped.

So they went to the place of worship at Bethel and asked God, “Which tribe should be the first to attack the people of Benjamin?” “Judah,” the Lord answered.

But Joshua must depend on Eleazar to find out from me what I want him to do as he leads Israel into battle.”

Saul told his officers, “Call the roll and find out who left our camp.” When they had finished, they found out that Jonathan and the soldier who carried his weapons were missing.

Saul said, “Let's attack the Philistines again while it's still dark. We can fight them all night. Let's kill them and take everything they own!” The people answered, “We will do whatever you want.” “Wait!” Ahijah the priest said. “Let's ask God what we should do.”

David heard about Saul's plan to capture him, and he told Abiathar, “Let's ask God what we should do.”
