Generation after generation will praise your works, and they will declare your power.


My soul has clung close to you. Your right hand has supported me.


But when I turned myself toward all the works that my hands had made, and to the labors in which I had perspired to no purpose, I saw emptiness and affliction of the soul in all things, and that nothing is permanent under the sun.


consider that you do not know what will be tomorrow.


I have not concealed your justice within my heart. I have spoken your truth and your salvation. I have not concealed your mercy and your truth from a great assembly.


My days have passed by more quickly than threads are cut by a weaver, and they have been consumed without any hope.


All the nations in his sight are as if they did not exist, and they are considered by him as if they were nothingness and emptiness.


Ecclesiastes said: Vanity of vanities! Vanity of vanities, and all is vanity!
