Psalm 141:5
23 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

The heart of the wise is a place of mourning, and the heart of the foolish is a place of rejoicing.

Those whom I love, I rebuke and chastise. Therefore, be zealous and do penance.

Whoever reproves the wise and obedient ear is like an earring of gold with a shining pearl.

When the pestilent are scourged, the foolish will become wiser. But if you chastise the wise, he will understand discipline.

A fool laughs at the discipline of his father. But whoever preserves rebukes will become astute. In abundant justice, there is very great virtue. But the intentions of the impious will be eradicated.

And after he spoke these things, he responded to him: "Are you the counselor of the king? Be quiet! Otherwise I will put you to death." And departing, the prophet said, "I know that God has decided to kill you, because you have done this evil, and also because you have not agreed to my counsel."

For commandment is a lamp, and law is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life.

Convert our captivity, O Lord, like a torrent in the south.

He will receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God, his Saviour.

But I say to you: Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. And pray for those who persecute and slander you.

Intentions dissipate where there is no counsel. Yet truly, they are confirmed where there are many counselors.

You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but reprove him openly, lest you have sin over him.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge. But whoever hates correction is unwise.
