Therefore, because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying out: "Abba, Father."


I am not able to do anything of myself. As I hear, so do I judge. And my judgment is just. For I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.


If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful: he is not able to deny himself.


Now my soul is troubled. And what should I say? Father, save me from this hour? But it is for this reason that I came to this hour.


in the hope of the eternal life that God, who does not lie, promised before the ages of time,


He humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, even the death of the Cross.


Therefore, Jesus said to Peter: "Set your sword into the scabbard. Should I not drink the chalice which my Father has given to me?"


And Jesus, gazing at them, said: "With men it is impossible; but not with God. For with God all things are possible."


Jesus said to them: "My food is to do the will of the One who sent me, so that I may perfect his work.


And continuing on a little further, he fell prostrate on his face, praying and saying: "My Father, if it is possible, let this chalice pass away from me. Yet truly, let it not be as I will, but as you will."


Therefore, you shall pray in this way: Our Father, who is in heaven: May your name be kept holy.


"Behold, I am the Lord God; I am above all flesh. Can any word be difficult for me?


All my enemies were whispering against me. They were thinking up evils against me.


Is anything difficult for God? According to the announcement, he will return to you at this same time, with life as a companion, and Sarah will have a son."


so that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have the strongest solace: we who have fled together so as to hold fast to the hope set before us.


Again, a second time, he went and prayed, saying, "My Father, if this chalice cannot pass away, unless I drink it, let your will be done."


And he went and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter: "Simon, are you sleeping? Were you not able to be vigilant for one hour?


But they said to him, "We can." Then Jesus said to them: "Indeed, you shall drink from the chalice, from which I drink; and you shall be baptized with the baptism, with which I am to be baptized.
