And Abraham said to him: 'Son, recall that you received good things in your life, and in comparison, Lazarus received bad things. But now he is consoled, and truly you are tormented.

And returning to his senses, he said: 'How many hired hands in my father's house have abundant bread, while I perish here in famine!

And now many peoples have been gathered together against you, and they say, "Let her be stoned and let our eyes gaze upon Zion."

And she will pursue her lovers, but she will not obtain them, and she will seek them, but she will not find them, and she will say, 'I will go and return to my first husband, because it was to some extent better for me then, than it is now.'

AIN. While we were still standing, our eyes failed, expecting help for us in vain, when we looked attentively toward a nation that was not able to save.

And the Chaldeans will return and will make war against this city. And they will seize it and burn it with fire.

We have heard and known such great things, as our fathers have described to us.

Who will grant to me that I might be as I was in former months, according to the days when God kept watch over me?

The house of our sanctification and of our glory, where our fathers praised you, has been completely consumed by fire, and all our admirable things have been turned into ruins.

For Israel had been a derision to them. It was as if you had discovered him among thieves. Because of your own words, then, which you have spoken against him, you will be led away captive.

The city of your sanctuary has become a desert. Zion has become a desert. Jerusalem is desolate.

And you shall say to the sons of Ammon: Listen to the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God: Because you have said, 'Well, well!' over my sanctuary, when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel, when it was desolated, and over the house of Judah, when they were led into captivity,

For thus says the Lord God: Because you have clapped your hands and stomped your foot, and have rejoiced with all your heart against the land of Israel,
