If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, then you may ask for whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.


For this reason, I say to you, all things whatsoever that you ask for when praying: believe that you will receive them, and they will happen for you.


And all things whatsoever that you shall ask for in prayer: believing, you shall receive."


Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.


And this is the confidence which we have toward God: that no matter what we shall request, in accord with his will, he hears us.


And, in that day, you will not petition me for anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in my name, he will give it to you.


and whatever we shall request of him, we shall receive from him. For we keep his commandments, and we do the things that are pleasing in his sight.


You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. And I have appointed you, so that you may go forth and bear fruit, and so that your fruit may last. Then whatever you have asked of the Father in my name, he shall give to you.


If you shall ask anything of me in my name, that I will do.


Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be saved. For the unremitting prayer of a just person prevails over many things.


Everything is possible in him who has strengthened me.


But if anyone among you is in need of wisdom, let him petition God, who gives abundantly to all without reproach, and it shall be given to him.


In him we trust, and so we approach with confidence, through his faith.


In that day, you shall ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father for you.


For by him, we both have access, in the one Spirit, to the Father.


Let everything whatsoever that you do, whether in word or in deed, be done all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through him.


Then, on the last great day of the feast, Jesus was standing and crying out, saying: "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink:


And for this reason, he is able, continuously, to save those who approach God through him, since he is ever alive to make intercession on our behalf.


Jesus said to him: "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.


But Jesus cried out and said: "Whoever believes in me, does not believe in me, but in him who sent me.


And so I say to you: Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.


be also yourselves like living stones, built upon him, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, so as to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.


Then Jesus responded and said to them: "Amen, amen, I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything of himself, but only what he has seen the Father doing. For whatever he does, even this does the Son do, similarly.


Therefore, through him, let us offer the sacrifice of continual praise to God, which is the fruit of lips confessing his name.


For we do not have a high priest who is unable to have compassion on our infirmities, but rather one who was tempted in all things, just as we are, yet without sin.


By reason of this grace, I bend my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,


Instead, the water that I will give to him will become in him a fountain of water, springing up into eternal life."


Jesus responded and said to her: "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you, 'Give me to drink,' perhaps you would have made a request of him, and he would have given you living water."


But I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I am going. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But when I will have gone away, I will send him to you.


Then, when he had gone out, Jesus said: "Now the Son of man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.


For this reason, too, whoever speaks in tongues, let him pray for the interpretation.
