A brother who is helped by a brother is like a reinforced city, and judgments are like the bars of cities.


And lead us not into temptation. But free us from evil. Amen.


A tumult will arise among your people. And all your fortifications will be laid waste, just as Salman was destroyed by the house of him that judged Baal on the day of the battle, the mother having been crushed against her sons.


For behold our God, whom we worship, is able to rescue us from the oven of burning fire and to free us from your hands, O king.


I have extended my hands to you. My soul is like a land without water before you.


Unto the end. To the sons of Korah, toward understanding.


Blessed is the man to whom the Lord has not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.


A Prayer of David. Lord, listen to my justice, attend to my supplication. Pay attention to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.


Whom are you pursuing, O king of Israel? Whom are you pursuing? You are pursuing a dead dog, a single flea.

If, as you are walking along the way, you find a bird's nest, in a tree or on the ground, and the mother is nurturing the young or the eggs, you shall not take her with her young.


These things were reported to Rebekah. And sending and calling for her son Jacob, she said to him, "Behold, your brother Esau is threatening to kill you.


Then he also sent messengers before him to his brother Esau, in the land of Seir, in the region of Edom.


Jacob was very afraid. And in his terror, he divided the people who were with him, likewise the flocks, and the sheep, and the oxen, and the camels, into two companies,


And so Esau ran to meet his brother, and he embraced him. And drawing him by his neck and kissing him, he wept.


saying, "Blessed be the Lord, the God of my lord Abraham, who has not taken away his mercy and truth from my lord, and who has led me on a direct journey to the house of the brother of my lord."


Then king David entered and sat before the Lord, and he said: "Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that you would bring me to this point?
