Daniel 4:30
33 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Arrogance precedes destruction. And the spirit is exalted before a fall.

standing far away, out of fear of her torments, saying: 'Woe! Woe! to Babylon, that great city, that strong city. For in one hour, your judgment has arrived.'

And a name was written upon her forehead: Mystery, Babylon the great, the mother of the fornications and the abominations of the earth.

For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted."

Speak, and you shall say: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, you great dragon, who rests in the midst of your rivers. And you say: 'Mine is the river, and I have made myself.'

And the Great City became divided into three parts. And the cities of the Gentiles fell. And Babylon the great came to mind before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the indignation of his wrath.

Similarly, young persons, be subject to the elders. And infuse all humility among one another, for God resists the arrogant, but to the humble he gives grace.

They have said in their heart, the whole group of them together: "Let us cause all the feast days of God to cease from the land.

Sitting, you spoke against your brother, and you set up a scandal against your mother's son.

And a certain strong Angel took up a stone, similar to a great millstone, and he cast it into the sea, saying: "With this force shall Babylon, that great city, be cast down. And she shall never be found again.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever else you may do, do everything for the glory of God.

Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, and invoke his name. Announce his works among the nations.

And this was his dream: voices appeared, and confusion, and thunders, and earthquakes, and a disturbance upon the earth.

And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.

And another Angel followed, saying: "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, who inebriated all nations with the wine of her wrath and of fornication."

Humiliation follows the arrogant. And glory shall uphold the humble in spirit.

And then Babylon, the glorious one among kingdoms, that famous pride of the Chaldeans, will be destroyed, even as the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Therefore, at the end of these days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my mind was restored to me. And I blessed the Most High, and I praised and glorified him who lives forever. For his power is an everlasting power, and his kingdom is from generation to generation.

Then his spirit will be altered, and he will cross over and fall. Such is his strength from his god.

Wherever arrogance may be, there too is insult. But wherever humility is, there too is wisdom.

And then he who called both you and him, approaching, may say to you, 'Give this place to him.' And then you would begin, with shame, to take the last place.
