10 And his closest relative will steal him away and will burn him, so that he may carry the bones out of the house. And he will say to him that is in the inner most rooms of the house, "Now is there any left that still belongs to you?"

And the hinges of the temple will creak in that day, says the Lord God. Many will die. Silence will be thrown away in all places.

Therefore, the prudent will be silent at that time, for it is an evil time.


'Speak to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will defile my sanctuary, the pride of your realm, and the desire of your eyes, and the dread of your soul. Your sons and your daughters, whom you have forsaken, will fall by the sword.'

Both the great and the small will die in this land. They will not be buried, and they will not be mourned. And no one will cut themselves or make themselves bald on their behalf.


Then the sons of Israel said to Moses: "Behold, we have been consumed; we have been ruined.


And in that place Josiah, turning, saw the sepulchers which were on the mount. And he sent and took the bones from the sepulchers. And he burned them upon the altar, and he defiled it in accord with the word of the Lord, which was spoken by the man of God, who had predicted these events.


While he was still speaking to them, the messenger appeared who was sent to him. And he said: "Behold, such a great evil is from the Lord! What more should I expect from the Lord?"


'For death has climbed through our windows. It has entered our houses to perish the little children from the outdoors, the youths from the streets.' "
