And they rose up in the morning, and they worshipped before the Lord. And they returned and arrived at their own house at Ramah. Then Elkanah knew his wife Hannah. And the Lord remembered her.


Therefore, all those greater by birth of Israel, having gathered together, went to Samuel at Ramah.


There was a certain man from Ramah of Zophim, on Mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.


And all the people traveled to Gilgal. And there they made Saul king, in the sight of the Lord at Gilgal. And there they immolated victims of peace, before the Lord. And there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced exceedingly.


And he built an altar there, and he called the name of that place, 'House of God.' For there God appeared to him when he fled from his brother.


And erecting an altar there, he invoked upon it the most strong God of Israel.


And Elkanah went away to Ramah, to his house. But the boy was a minister in the sight of the Lord, before the face of Eli, the priest.


And responding, they said to them: "He is. Behold, he is ahead of you. Hurry now. For he came into the city today, since there is a sacrifice for the people today, on the high place.


Then Saul built an altar to the Lord. And so, it was then that he first began to build an altar to the Lord.


Then Samuel went away to Ramah. But Saul ascended to his house at Gibeah.


Now Samuel was dead, and all of Israel mourned for him, and they buried him in Ramah, his city. And Saul took away the magi and soothsayers from the land.


They have passed through in haste; Geba is our seat; Ramah was stupefied; Gibeah of Saul fled.


And she was sitting under a palm tree, which was called by her name, between Ramah and Bethel, on Mount Ephraim. And the sons of Israel went up to her for every judgment.


Therefore, Gideon built an altar to the Lord there, and he called it, the Peace of the Lord, even to the present day. And while he was still at Ophrah, which is of the family of Ezri,
