A proud and arrogant one is also called ignorant, if he, in anger, acts according to pride.


And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but educate them with the discipline and correction of the Lord.


Let all bitterness and anger and indignation and outcry and blasphemy be taken away from you, along with all malice.


But I say to you, that anyone who becomes angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment. But whoever will have called his brother, 'Idiot,' shall be liable to the council. Then, whoever will have called him, 'Worthless,' shall be liable to the fires of Hell.


A stone is weighty, and sand is burdensome; but the wrath of the foolish is heavier than both.


Just like a city lying in the open and without surrounding walls, so also is a man who is unable to restrain his own spirit in speaking.


Whoever is impatient will sustain damage. And when it has been taken away, he will set up another.


Like the roaring of a lion, so also is the wrath of a king. And his cheerfulness is like the dew upon the grass.


The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge. But the mouth of the senseless gushes with foolishness.


Whoever is patient is governed by much prudence. But whoever is impatient exalts his foolishness.
