And the Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a habitable land; they ate the manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.


A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.


I sent you to reap a crop for which you have not toiled. Other men have labored and you have stepped in to reap the results of their work.


Then, when you eat of the food of the land, you shall set apart a portion for a gift to the Lord [called a heave or taken-out offering].


And on that same day they ate the produce of the land: unleavened cakes and parched grain.
