Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?


that say, The time is not near to build houses: this city is the caldron, and we are the flesh.


Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they leave nothing till the morrow.


When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, Even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.


Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and the princes thereof: It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses:


gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.


But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip the robe from off the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.


There is a generation whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.


what mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the face of the poor? saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.


Hear this, O ye that would swallow up the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail,
