⁴⁹ And when they that were about him saw what would follow, they said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

⁴⁹ And when those who were around Him saw what was about to happen, they said, Lord, shall we strike with the sword?

⁴⁹ When those around him recognized what was about to happen, they said, “Lord, should we fight with our swords?”

⁴⁹ Then those who were around him, realizing what was about to happen, said to him: "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"

⁴⁹ And they that were about him, seeing what would follow, said to him: Lord, shall we strike with the sword?

And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

And a certain one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his right ear.
