‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose’. Romans 8:28
When we are through difficult situations we rely on this verse. But we find it hard to believe it from the heart. It is amazing how we get closer to God at the moment of sadness and pain, and all these circumstances get us closer to God in an extraordinary way. Surely we know many testimonies that affirm the certainty of this text.
An example of this is the story of Fanny Crosby, writer of Christian hymns; she was blind at a young age, but in her childhood she wrote songs and poetry; and the world has been blessed with over 8,000 works by Crosby, songs like ‘Saved in the arms of the Savior,’ have been sung by thousands worldwide..
When we go through a tragedy it is impossible for us to see the good side, but God always has a purpose in all our life.
