Isaac married Rebekah, and they were also childless until God intervened and provided a son, Jacob, to continue the promise <em>&#8220;And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau&#8217;s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.&#8221;<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibliatodo.com\/en\/bible\/king-james-version\/genesis-25-26\">(Genesis 25:26)<\/a>. God then reaffirmed the Abrahamic Covenant with Jacob <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibliatodo.com\/en\/search-bible?s=Genesis+28%3A14-15\">(Genesis 28:14-15)<\/a>. Later, God changed Jacob\u2019s name to Israel <em>&#8220;And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.&#8221;<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibliatodo.com\/en\/bible\/king-james-version\/genesis-35-10\">(Genesis 35:10)<\/a>.
