Why should we “thank God”?

A mother used to pray with her 6 years old daughter, every night before going to the bed, one night, the mother said: “let’s pray for your Aunt  Martha`s health.”

They prayed for her every night for 2 weeks. One day, the mother just stopped asking her daughter to pray with her.

Three nights later, the daughter asked:

-Mom! Why don’t we pray for Aunt Martha`s health?

-“Because God healed her!”, the mother answered

-For this reason, shouldn’t we “thank God”?t is easier for us to ask than to thank, that story about 10 healed lepers is repeated with us every day, because only one of those returned to say “thank God”

It is easier for us to ask than to thank. The story about the 10 healed lepers of which only one came back to thank Jesus is repeated daily in our lives.

Out of 10 times we ask, sometimes, we thank not even once. The gratitude of a person who asks opens the hand of someone who gives. Gratitude eases generosity.

We have so much to be thankful to our God!

Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8

They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD. They were to do the same in the evening 1 Chronicles 23:30
