The apostles, at the time of the early church, were characterized by their effort in missionary work since many of them formed several churches; the apostle Paul is an example of this (we can read it in the book of Acts of the Apostles).
Nowadays, missionary work still works but in a different way. Most of the time, Christians are called to get together at temples called “Churches”.
Although some may think to go to “Church” is not necessary because “Christians are the moving church, the Bible explains why to gather together with other believers is important (Hebrews 10:25).
Some people advise Christians not to meet together with other believers as some go as usual; Sometimes we can meet people who, for certain reasons, do not go to church. Well, we have to improve that, Why? Because it has benefits given from God for HIS CHURCH to receive.
Going to church gives each member benefits and here we are going to mention some:
Help our spiritual growth: The church is the place where every believer learns to pray, the place where we nourish ourselves with the word of God through pastors and leaders (Hebrews 13: 7) and also where we can work for God in his work.
We learn to submit to our authorities: Pastors, teachers, or apostles represent spiritual authorities for each believer; they give us coverage and guide us with words from God; being in the church we learn to honor them, love them, respect them and obey them (Hebrews 13:17).
You are built through people and testimonies: Building friendships and good relationships with brothers in the body of Christ is beneficial since we can build each other (1 Corinthians 1:10); and through experiences told in the form of testimony, it encourages us to move forward, and to continue believing.
You find passion and a purpose: When we cultivate daily our relationship with God our passion for him grows (Romans 12:11). The more we obey God´s commands, the easier for us to know and accomplish our purpose.
So, take courage to do God´s will, and reveice everything God has for you, in the name of Jesus. BLESSINGS!
