Answer
The Bible is unequivocal that, ultimately, there are only two possibilities for where you will go when you pass away: heaven or hell. It also clearly states that you have the ability to determine your destination. How? Keep reading.
To begin with, the issue. We have all committed sins “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”, (Romans 3:23). We have all engaged in actions that are incorrect, wicked, or immoral “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”, (Ecclesiastes 7:20). Our sins create a separation between us and God, and if not addressed, they will lead to eternal separation from God (Matthew 25:46;Romans 6:23a). This eternal separation from God is hell, depicted in the Bible as an everlasting lake of fire (Revelation 20:14-15).
Now, the resolution. God took on human form in the figure of Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14;8:58;10:30). He led a life without sin (1 Peter 3:22;1 John 3:5) and willingly gave up His life on our behalf (1 Corinthians 15:3;1 Peter 1:18-19). His death served as payment for our sins “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who kne
With no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him., (2 Corinthians 5:21). God now offers us salvation and forgiveness as a gift “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”, (Romans 6:23b) that we must receive by faith (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9). “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”, (Acts 16:31). Trust in Jesus alone as your Savior, relying on His sacrifice alone as the payment for your sins, and, according to the Word of God, you are promised eternal life in heaven.
Where do you go when you die? It is up to you. God offers you the choice. God invites you to come to Him. It is your call.
If you feel God drawing you to faith in Christ “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”, (John 6:44), come to the Savior. If God is lifting the veil and removing your spiritual blindness “in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”, (2 Corinthians 4:4), look to the Savior. If you are experiencing a spark of life in what has always been dead “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;”, (Ephesians 2:1).Ephesians 2:1), comes to life through the Savior.
Where do you go when you die? Heaven or hell. Through Jesus Christ, hell is avoidable. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and heaven will be your eternal destination. Choose otherwise, and eternal separation from God in hell will be the outcome (John 14:6;Acts 4:12).
If you now comprehend the two possibilities of where you go when you die and desire to trust Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it is time to call on God for salvation. As an act of faith, express the following to God: “God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I recognize that due to my sin I deserve to be eternally separated from you. Despite my unworthiness, thank you for loving me and providing the sacrifice for my sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and I rely on Him alone to save me. From now on, assist me in living my life for you rather than for sin. Help me to spend the rest of my life in appreciation for the wonderful salvation you have granted. Thank you, Jesus, for rescuing me!”
