Answer
The concept of the New World Order is a conspiracy theory that suggests a new era in history that will bring significant changes to the global power balance. This idea proposes that a select group of elitist individuals aim to govern the world through a unified global government system. The appeal of this New World Order lies in its vision to eliminate wars and political conflicts, and its commitment to eradicating poverty, disease, and hunger. Its objective is to address the needs and aspirations of all humanity by promoting worldwide peace.
Referred to as the new “age of globalization,” this New World Order is expected to eliminate the necessity for multiple national governments. This would be achieved by establishing a single global political entity. One strategy to accomplish this is by removing all boundaries and borders that separate nations worldwide. It is believed that the New World Order will prioritize tolerance by encouraging the recognition and acceptance of diverse cultures, values, and ideologies. Its ultimate aim is to foster a sense of unity and solidarity among all people, fostering a universal language. Additional goals include the adoption of a global currency, as well as unity in governance, religion, and ethical principles. Consequently, proponents of this theory argue that the world will be governed by a single authority, promising global peace, the absence of warfare, and the resolution of all political turmoil.
While it is acknowledged that individuals seek hope to endure life and find peace of mind, the challenge lies in where this hope is sought. The Scriptures provide clear guidance on these matters. As Christians, we are instructed to obey and honor those in positions of authority, including our government. Nevertheless, it is evident that a New World Order could have significant repercussions, both economically and religiously.dpoint (Romans 13:1-7;Acts 5:29).
The issue with accepting and endorsing any New World Order is that no government has ever provided, nor will ever provide, genuine hope and peace for humanity. When individuals look to the government to deliver global peace and hope, they end up disillusioned and trapped by its false pledges. History has repeatedly shown that no pseudo-world empire has endured due to its inherent flaws of greed, corruption, and lust for power.
Those advocating for the establishment of a New World Order, whether secular or religious, are in for a harsh awakening. The reality is that erroneous religious doctrines cannot establish a utopia, regardless of human creativity and resourcefulness. Only heaven can bring enduring peace and joy. The Bible unequivocally states that all aspects of earthly life with its trials, decay, dissatisfaction, and mortality will persist in this physical existence (2 Corinthians 4:16;Hebrews 9:27). It is also evident that these aspects are entirely absent in the heavenly city (Revelation 21:3-7 and Revelation 22). They will be eradicated. Indeed, hope is essential. However, it is the hope of heaven that we require, not the false hope of a New World Order. The sole hope for all believers resides in heaven alone (John 14:1-4). It is not found here on earth.
