Authored by C. J. Lovik and released by Rock Island Books in 2019, The Berisheet Passover Prophecy asserts that the seventieth week of Daniel, known as the tribulation period, is set to begin in 2023, followed by the establishment of Christ’s millennial kingdom in 2030. According to Lovik, if the rapture occurs before the start of Daniel’s seventieth week, it must happen sometime in 2023.
In The Berisheet Passover Prophecy, Lovik’s calculations are rooted in a symbolic and numeric interpretation of the first Hebrew word in Genesis 1, b’reshit (בְּרֵאשִׁית), and the pattern of six days of creation followed by one day of rest. By identifying multiple Hebrew words within the first word of the Bible and using the creation week as a template for God’s timeline, Lovik outlines the world’s history. Lovik posits that the word berisheet signifies seven prophetic beginnings:
1) The commencement of creation (4004 BC)
2) The onset of sin (3970 BC)
3) The start of the church age (the crucifixion of Christ, AD 30)
4) The initiation of the church’s time in heaven (the rapture, date unknown)
5) The beginning of Daniel’s seventieth week (the tribulation, AD 2023)
6) The start of Christ’s millennial kingdom (AD 2030)
7) The commencement of the new heavens and new earth (AD 3030)
