What is dualism?

In theology, the concept of dualism posits that there are two distinct entities—good and evil—that hold equal power. In Christian dualism, God embodies the good entity, while Satan embodies the evil entity.

Nevertheless, it is essential to recognize that despite Satan possessing some power, he is not on par with God Almighty, as he was originally created as an angel by God before his rebellion (Isaiah 14:12-15;Ezekiel 28:13-17). As stated in Scripture, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” «Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. », (1 John 4:4). According to Scripture, there exists no dualism, no two opposing forces of equal power known as good and evil. Good, embodied by God Almighty, stands as the supreme force in the universe without exception. Evil, personified by Satan, is a lesser force that cannot rival good. Evil will consistently be vanquished in any direct confrontation with good, as God Almighty, the epitome of good, reigns omnipotent, while evil, represented by Satan, does not.

Any doctrine that depicts good and evil as two equal opposing forces contradicts the scriptural stance that good, embodied by God Almighty, reigns as the predominant force in the universe. Since Satan was never and will never be equal to God, any doctrine suggesting otherwise is erroneous. Satan’s expulsion from heaven for attempting to surpass God does not signify his abandonment of striving for equality or superiority to God, as evidenced by the fundamental principles of “dualism” that have predominantly descended through the philosophical lineage of human wisdom.

ThThere can be no dualism existing in any corner of our universe. There is only one power that is overriding, and that power is God Almighty as revealed to us in the Bible. According to the scriptural evidence, there is only one power that is omnipotent, not two. Thus, any doctrine of dualism that contends there are two equal powers opposing each other (good and evil) is a false doctrine.
