Nowadays, for people to make big physical changes is getting easier everytime.
The modification of the face, body, among other parts, which people see as “imperfections”, are each day easier to change.
However, there is something that cannot be transformed by these surgical procedures; the heart.
The heart is the most indispensable organ in the human body; God gave this member a very important function for the existence of a person.
The Bible also speaks of the heart, and represents it through two words “deceitful” and “wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9).
It also resembles a warehouse, where all the thoughts, feelings and emotions of a person are kept. We can find this Matthew 15:19.
Both the evil and the goodness that someone can show themselves, their deeds, words and even gestures. Everything that person is, comes from what is in the treasure of his heart, (Luke 6:45).
Therefore, it isn’t worth it to make physical changes, if the heart is full of evil. The Bible says to not look not at the things which are seen, because they are temporary (2 Corinthians 4:18).
The things that are not seen are the ones that really should be important to a believer, because if a heart is clean and full of God, nothing else will be needed.
“…For out of it flow the springs of life.” (Proverbs 4:23).
Only God can clean that warehouse that is the heart, there is no surgeon who can remove hatred, rage, pride or bitterness. Only the doctor par excellence, Jesus, can transform it completely.
He will make the necessary changes to take what he doesn’t like out of that heart, He is just waiting for people to decide to leave it in his hands, to transform it into a new one.
“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 11:19
